Program Profile

The 21st century makes itself felt as an inevitable process in which countries all over the world are forced to become an information society. Therefore, in relation to higher education, Master's and/or PhD programs of universities are gaining weight not only for academic career but also as an ideal phenomenon aiming at lifelong learning.

The trained and established manpower in a society is undoubtedly of primary importance in the development of that society. In addition, the shift of the manufacturing industry to production areas requiring advanced technology has led to the rapid development of research and development (R&D) activities in our country, as in developed countries. The first thing that comes to mind when it comes to R&D is universities, which are open to technological research, development and specialization. In addition, the task of training qualified and application-oriented personnel who are open to innovations that the industrialists need in our country, who can constantly follow the technological movements in the world, falls to our universities that include technical fields in the first degree.

KTO Karatay University, Institute of Graduate Studies, Electrical and Computer Engineering Master's Program aims to increase the research and development potential of our region and our country in the fields of defense industry, energy, electronics and informatics and to transform this potential into original technological products that can compete globally. In order to achieve this, the main rationale of this program is to train graduates who have the engineering knowledge and research and development skills to comprehend current technological developments and apply them in academia and industry, and more importantly, to create innovations on them. Master's (and PhD) programs can also be perceived as a program to prepare candidates for senior management in the public or private sector.

The Electrical and Computer Engineering Program aims to attract students from both industry and commerce as well as academia. In the non-thesis program, it is aimed to provide students with expertise and / or deepen their specialized knowledge through high-level courses on current issues according to the needs of the country.
