Program Profile

It will be to train qualified personnel in the field of combating information crimes, which still has a significant need for experts / experts, and at the same time to pave the way for young academicians who aim to continue their academic careers in an interdisciplinary science branch that can be considered very new in our country. 

Forensic informatics; It covers a wide perspective from the crimes committed by criminals using computer and information technologies, starting from the process in which the criminal is suspected, analyzing the crime scene, collecting data by taking necessary actions, examining this data, making the necessary associations, if any, with the crime and presenting the results to the judicial authorities as a result of regular reporting and ensuring the security of information technologies.  

In parallel with the development of the virtual world, Forensic Engineering is developing at the same rate. As the dependence on the cyber world, which has become a part of today's social life, has increased, this situation has attracted the attention of crime foci and information systems have started to be used as a criminal tool. 


As a new type of crime, Information Crimes are becoming more dangerous day by day and their number is increasing. This inevitably leads to the need for IT Crimes Expert and Forensic IT Expert. From a legal point of view, it is necessary to train educated and researcher individuals who have scientific knowledge at the level of scientific knowledge to be able to act as an expert in this field, in other words, the IT Crimes Expert and Forensic IT Expert should be competent.
