KTO Karatay University holds the distinction of being the only university in Turkiye that provides glider training with its own aircraft, at its own runway and maintenance center, producing well-trained pilots for the industry.
The rapid growth and development in air transportation, initiated by the increase in private aviation companies, create a demand for qualified personnel. Developments in the aviation sector emphasize the need for pilots at international standards. Therefore, having the Aviation Department within KTO Karatay University and providing non-thesis master's education at the international level holds special importance for our students, Konya, and Turkiye.
Training at Our Own Runway
KTO Karatay University provides education on its own training runway, which is constructed in compliance with general standards and located only 20 minutes away from the university campus, covering an area of approximately 305,000 square meters. Our flight runway is situated in the province of Konya, featuring a 1500-meter asphalt runway, a 1200-meter grass runway, a 1500-meter taxiway, and training facilities.
Tuition Fee and Quota
The fee listed below is for the theoretical non-thesis master's education. Flight training is optional in the Non-Thesis Master's Program in Piloting. The flight fee (practice) for the Non-Thesis Master's Program in Piloting is an additional 55,000 Euros (including VAT) for those who wish to take it.
